A Letter To My Daughter On Her Birthday

Elle,

Two - how the last two years have just flown by! Everyday you teach me something new. Being your mom is the best thing in the whole world. Somehow you're two already and I'm going to blink and you will be twelve and I am SO not ready for that. I am going to do my very vest not to get sappy because I do not want to cry all over my keyboard. I'll save that for your milestone journal.

You are so kind, smart, and beautiful and I am so proud of you! For everything that you have learned, for your everyday accomplishments, and everything that you are. You bring so much joy and laughter into our lives, you have filled our hearts with so much love - more than we ever thought possible. Although some days are trying, every night after tucking you into bed we just look at each other and say how amazing you are and how did we get so lucky as parents to be blessed with a little girl like you.

Your birthday was perfect! Very small get together with your grandparents and great grandparents eating, playing, and watching you put your face in the cake. You were so excited to see all the donuts everywhere and wanting to get into your cake from the second you saw it. However the highlight of your day was by far the balloons. Just like your mama! It's not a celebration unless there are balloons!

They always said girls are so much fun.. so many cute clothes, fun toys, and girl things to do. Well little did we know you would be a shoe queen. Getting new shoes right and left, new baby dolls every couple of weeks, and wanting your toes painted pink and orange like MooMoo does it. Demanding dress up and shoe changes every two minutes has been fun! I wouldn't trade it for the world.

All I ever wish for you my sweet girl is happiness. Pure happiness ; genuine smiles, belly laughs, and may that sparkle in your eye never dim. I pray the world never brings you down and you always lift others up. May you always be happy in every chapter of life. Making the best out of every situation and living your life to the fullest always.

Forever wishing that time would slow down, you will never grow up, and you would snuggle me a little more.

Love you forever and a day,

Mom

..I'm not crying you're crying..

My baby is two and so so smart, kind, and beautiful.

Don't grow up.
